# Recurring Records

Create a recurring rule for income or expenses that repeat on fixed dates.

## Create a Rule

1. Open **Recurring** and tap **+**.
2. Choose a record type and enter the amount, account, book, and category.
3. Set the start date, frequency, and end condition.
4. After you save, Daak creates future records according to the rule.

| Rule setting      | Options                                                                         |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Frequency**     | Daily, weekly, monthly, and other intervals                                     |
| **Special Date**  | The last day or last business day of each month, and other special dates        |
| **End Condition** | Continue indefinitely, end on a date, or stop after a set number of occurrences |

## Manage Rules

| Action           | Effect                                                                    |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **View Records** | Shows records already created by the rule                                 |
| **Edit Rule**    | Changes settings used for records created later                           |
| **Disable Rule** | Stops creating new records without deleting existing ones                 |
| **Delete Rule**  | Deletes the rule and stops future records; existing records are preserved |

Changing a recurring rule does not rewrite records already created. After you delete a rule, existing records are unlinked from it and remain as standard historical records.
